Hello everyone,

If you're looking for something to observe (and not busy digging out from
snow as Cambridge is), supernova SN 2009an in NGC 4332 is reasonably well
placed outside of the galaxian light. Two CBETs also indicate it is a
type-Ia a few days *prior* to maximum light. It's just fainter than our
usual limit for issuing an Alert Notice (reported at an unfiltered mag of
15.4), but supernova observers may want to give this one a shot.

The names are "SN 2009an" and "VSX J122247.4+655104" and the AUID is
"000-BJN-610".

Clear skies (& happy shoveling!),

 	Matthew
