At the very end of July I had the pleasure of being a guest speaker at the 2011 Table Mountain Star Party. I had a wonderful time and met some really great folks. Table Mountain is a few hours east of Seattle, WA - what a beautiful location! The super steep, one lane, ragged dirt road did it's best to scare this city girl, but I was prepared with a rental car with high clearance! This was part of a series of talks being given this year by AAVSO staff [1] at star parties across the country to celebrate the AAVSO's centennial year.
