VPHOT won't let me use star name in sequence name

Trying to rebuild my sequences :( and VPHOT will not let me edit the star HS 0229+8016 - as in changing the sky annulus settings. Says there is one or more invalid characters. Nor will it let me save it by that name. It used to allow this.
