After setting up the SID apparatus that was sent to us by Rodney Howe, we had many trials and locations, from outside to inside on a netbook, and now moved to its permanent computer location in house.
My question is, since the antenna (75 cm loop) was tuned to NAA how can we be sure are hearing that station? We do not have a tunner nor an oscillascope.
Is there anyway that other SID users could post thier daily run, to see if we are even close to looking like a graph should look like?
We are using the RadioShack meter, and meterview. Sampling every 5 seconds, currently the set up is running at .759 volts which I assume would be a very quiet day, since NOAA is saying everything is quiet.
We are also wondering if we can create a macro mouse event to save the data daily, then create a new file (start) , then have a command to rename the saved file to the date in UT time if this will help with data saving. We currently use this technique in one of our other operations for an all sky camera.
