Outburst of FS Aurigae
January 24, 2011: Further to AAVSO Alert Notice 428 [1] (2010 Nov 30), the dwarf nova FS Aurigae appears to be in outburst. The outburst was detected by P. Lake (Wonga Park, Victoria, Australia) at V=14.332 on 2011 Jan 24.0902 (JD 2455585.5902), and confirmed shortly after by R. Campbell (Largo, FL, USA) at V=14.372 on Jan 24.1254 (JD 2455585.6254). Follow-up time-series observations are encouraged. Any and all filters may be used for time-series including clear, but V filter is preferred. Please continue to follow FS Aur throughout its outburst until it returns to quiesence.
FS Aur is located at the following (J2000) coordinates:
RA: 05 47 48.32 , Dec: +28 35 11.6
