Possible Nova in Cygnus

A. Tago reports (CBET 890) the discovery of a possible nova from CCD exposures taken on March 15. The position, from Bisei Spaceguard Center images, is RA 20:28:12.52 DEC +41:48:36.5 J2000 The brightness is about V=6.7, and the region has considerable nebulosity. We will be posting a VSP finding chart for this object in the next day or so; until then, estimate the brightness relative to nearby Tycho stars.
