AAVSO Privacy Policy
The AAVSO fully respects your right to privacy. As such, we do not use
any method to pull data (such as e-mail addresses) from
your computer. When you visit our site, the only data we obtain is that which is
logged to our web server. We use the common
log format with referrer and user-agent variables added. This is known in
the web server world as the combined log
format and is the Internet standard. Even when
you fill out an online form we get no data beyond what you see on the form
itself. In addition, all our membership lists and demographic info is kept
strictly confidential and is neither sold nor traded with any other
organization.
We use client side cookies throughout the website, but they only store information that you entered into
a form. They do not take information from your computer.
The AAVSO is a certified 501(c) non-profit organization.
