1. BL LAC MINI CAMPAIGN FOR NOVEMBER 12-14
The AAVSO and the GLAST Telescope Network (GTN) are requesting
intensive CCD observations of the blazar BL Lac for November 12-14.
The AAVSO International High Energy Network has been monitoring BL Lac
as part of an ongoing blazar monitoring campaign in support of GTN.
Recent observations reported to the AAVSO include interesting episodes
of microvariability.
AAVSO and GTN members are being asked to observe BL Lac as much
as possible for the period November 12 -14 (UT). High-precision time
series observations in V and I are requested. Precision of 0.01
magnitude is requested so set your exposure length appropriately or
stack your images to get the needed SNR. Take care with your flats and
darks.
Charts with V and I comparison stars are available here:
http://www.aavso.org/cgi-bin/searchcharts3.pl?name=2158%2B41
Updated BL Lac light curves can be plotted here:

Discussion of the campaign will occur on the AAVSO-Photometry
discussion group. Archives and subscription info:

Special thanks to CCD observers Robert James (JM), Diego
Rodriguez (RZD), Walter MacDonald (MDW) Steve Robinson (RSE), Radu
Corlan (CXR) and Alexander Corlan (CUA) along with visual observers
Mike Simonsen (SXN), Gary Poyner (PYG), Jose Ripero (OJR), Eddy
Muyllaert (MUY), Wolfgang Volmann (VOL), Jani Virtanen (VJA), and
Chris Jones (JCN) for the monitoring that has led to this campaign.

2. REQUEST FOR CONTINUED MONITORING OF IL AQR
The IL Aqr/GJ876 exoplanet campaign results are still being
analysed. Even though the transit window has passed we still need
nightly monitoring of IL Aqr in V to look for flaring behavior,
evidence of star spots and some suspected periods between 20-40 days
that have been published in the literature but not confirmed.
Please observe IL Aqr in V every night that you are out observing
until the end of this year. Make your observations as precise as
possible. If you detect any activity, please begin time series
observations for as long as possible and contact the AAVSO or
AAVSO-Photometry Discussion Group immediately so we may organize other
observers.
