Abstract  Through a combination of qualitative and quantitative processes, a survey was conducted of the amateur astronomy community to identify outstanding needs which the National Virtual Observatory (NVO) could fulfill. This is the final report of that project, which was conducted by The American Association of Variable Star Observers (AAVSO) on behalf of the Science Education Gateway (SEGway) Project at The Center for Science Education at The UC Berkeley Space Sciences Laboratory.
