Abstract
Preliminary results of a program of simultaneous optical (AAVSO observers) and extreme ultraviolet photometric (Extreme Ultraviolet Explorer) observations of dwarf novae in outburst are presented, with emphasis on the constraints imposed by the observations on the disk instability theory.
