Starrfield, Arizona State University -- "XMM-Newton (X-ray satellite) will be observing V4743 Sgr for 10 hours today. The observation begins at 22:06 (UT)- April 4.921. This is a Target of Opportunity observation that was just granted yesterday because there is a hint of a violently variable underlying source in this system (see IAUC 8107 at http:\\cfa-www.harvard.edu\iau\cbat.html). Contemporaneous/simultaneous observations would be very useful." Observers are strongly urged to monitor this exciting nova during the XMM-Newton observations. Multicolor CCD observations are particularly recommended. Below are the recent observations of V4743 Sgr in the AAVSO International Database. AAVSO Observer AAVSO Observer UT Mag. Initials UT Mag.
