Kushida, Japan, report the discovery by Minoru Yamamoto, Japan, of a nova in Sagittarius on April 25.732 UT at photovisual magnitude 8.6. R. and Y. Kushida report an unfiltered CCD observation made of the object at magnitude 7.6 on April 26.77778 UT. They also provide the following precise position: R.A. = 18h 07m 36.22s Dec. = -27 degrees 20' 13.5" (2000) For more information, a CCDV image of this nova, and an AAVSO 'd' scale preliminary chart, please see AAVSO Alert Notice 256, which will be posted on the AAVSO web page later today: http://www.aavso.org ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 0207-63 WX HYDRI The dwarf nova type (SU UMA subclass) cataclysmic variable WX HYI is in outburst, as indicated by the following observations: AAVSO Observer AAVSO Observer UT Mag.
