They have requested our assistance in monitoring these stars throughout the observing run in order to provide good optical coverage, which will be very important in correlating their spectra. Please monitor UX Ori, BF Ori, and RR Tau closely - every clear night and several times per night - from now until the end of February. The following AAVSO charts are available for these stars: 0459-03 UX Ori - appears on "d" scale Standard chart for 0501-04 AQ Eri 0532-06B BF Ori - "d" scale Preliminary chart 0533+26 RR Tau - "c" and "d" scale Standard charts These charts may be obtained from our website (http://www.aavso.org) or our ftp site (charts.aavso.org), or from AAVSO Headquarters. Please use them to monitor UX Ori, BF Ori, and RR Tau, and report your observations to AAVSO Headquarters, recording the time to four decimal places of the Julian Date. Be sure to indicate which comparison stars you used. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 0409-71 VW HYDRI The dwarf nova type (SU UMA subclass) cataclysmic variable VW HYI is in outburst, as indicated by the following observations: AAVSO Observer UT Mag.
