Our colleagues originally planned to observe U Gem five times during its outburst. Up to this point three of these observations have been made. Astronomers are planning to make one of the remaining two when U Gem has faded approximately halfway back to quiescence and the last when U Gem is at quiescence. Please continue to monitor U Gem closely, as you have been for the last week, and report your observations to AAVSO Headquarters. Your data, which we have been forwarding to our colleagues daily, have been the driving force behind the scheduling of U Gem with FUSE!
