Klotz of Guitalens, France has discovered an apparent supernova in NGC 7678 at a magnitude of about 15.1 on CCD images taken on June 18.09 and 19.02 UT. The supernova is located 30" east and 22" north of the nucleus of the galaxy at: R.A. = 23h 28m 30s.4 Decl. = +22o 25' 44" (2000) An AAVSO 'f' scale chart is available at the following address: http://www.aavso.org/charts/PEG/SN2002DP/ Please use this chart to observe the supernova and report your observations of 2323+21 SN 2002DP to AAVSO Headquarters, making sure to indicate which comparison stars you used. Congratulations to A. Klotz on his discovery! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1958+16 RZ SAGITTAE The dwarf nova type (SU UMA subclass) cataclysmic variable RZ SGE appears to be in outburst, as indicated by the following observations: AAVSO Observer AAVSO Observer UT Mag.
