AAVSO On the Web
NEW TOOLS FOR SUBMITTING OBSERVATIONS TO THE AAVSO!
AAVSO observers tell us that they are saving huge amounts of time and effort with these new software tools. Maybe you can save time and effort, too! It's a Revolution - Submit only one time for both nightly and monthly reports with WebObs!
If you are looking for an easier and faster way to submit data to the AAVSO, your solution may be here. You may now submit your observations to the AAVSO using a user-friendly CGI script on our web site called WebObs.
This form is loaded with features to make your submission of observations as easy and quick as possible. You no longer will have to worry about formats or submitting multiple files to the AAVSO. If you so choose, when you submit nightly observations you may stockpile them towards your monthly report, which will be made for you automatically at the end of the month.
It also automatically checks your observations for errors, allows you to retrieve old observations, saves chart data, and the observations can be plotted by the light curve generator the next day. Register to use WebObs at the AAVSO web site by clicking on the "Contributing Data" link. More information and a "3-click Tutorial" are also available online.

Convert VSNET-format Observations to AAVSO format and create your monthly report with ease!
If you use VSNET format in reporting your nightly observations, it may be difficult for you to create your monthly report in AAVSO format. Now it is much, much easier with CONVERTV!
CONVERTV is an AAVSO program written to convert VSNET-format observations to AAVSO format. It is very simple to use. Also, the AAVSO-format files it creates are compatible with the AAVSO report-formatting software KSOLOREP, so you may use KSOLOREP to create your AAVSO monthly report.
Depending on how you keep the information in your files organized, you may have to do a little editing of the comparison star/chart information when you have created your monthly report, but it is much, much easier than re-typing all your observations or re-formatting them extensively.
