AAVSO Special Notice #135

Correction to Special Notice #134 and new sequence
November 28, 2008

In AAVSO Special Notice #134 issued November 28, 2008, a typographical error was made in the coordinates and VSX name of the possible bright nova in Car (AUID 000-BJJ-196). The correct coordinates are:

RA 11h 13m 54s Dec -16o 14' 00" (2000)

The correct VSX name is VSX J111354.0-611400

We apologize for the error and any confusion it may have caused.

Regarding the sequence for this object, Mike Simonsen reports that the AAVSO Sequence Team now has a sequence available down to 13.9V. Charts with this sequence may be obtained from

http://www.aavso.org/observing/charts/vsp

and entering the coordinates.

Thank you for your efforts, and good observing!

This special notice was prepared by Elizabeth O. Waagen.
