What is very noticable by eye alone that moves in opposite directions at the same time yet remains whole?

My first thought would be a binary. Though I feel like the answer may be simpler than that.

Hi,

For example, a planet moving directly (eastwards) among the stars, while the diurnal motion takes it westwards.
