John Gross informs me that the observatory computer is not working properly (the last useful night was 120619), and he cannot get down to Sonoita until this weekend to check it out.  The weather service also indicates that the monsoonal flow will start shortly, so we may not get many more nights from Sonoita before September.  As usual, you will get the "you've got data!" email if any observations are made; just don't expect anything based on the circumstances.

Status of SR050 System

Hi Arne,

What is the status of the SR050 system? I know the monsoon season was a problem, but we are past that. I also know there was a computer problem a couple of weeks ago. but that should have been resolved by now. Can you provide me with a status and when I might expect some data for the AZ Cas project?

Thanks.

SRO50 is up!!

Hi Jeff,

SRO50 is running, though you know that the Baja hurricane will be adding clouds in the near future.  However, what is NOT running is the processing pipeline, so no SRO50 images have been made available.  Your AZ Cas images have been queued, but there is no data yet.  When the first set of images are taken, we will send you an email indicating where you can retrieve your images.  As a first visit to a new field, we ask that the observer inspect the images and make sure everything looks ok - good centering to get your comp stars, good exposure times, etc.

Right now, we have data from 20120915, 20120921-20120926 waiting to be processed.

SRO 50 is up?

Same question for M56_V6 - any data on this object available in the near term?

M56_V6

Hi Jerry,

M56_V6 has data from 20120915,16,21-26 that will be appearing in the next week or so.  Sorry about the delays - we redid the pipeline over the summer and are slowly bringing telescopes up to speed.
