Table 1 Notes:
TBD = To Be Determined
Spectral class, variability type, and period are from SIMBAD.

*Faint target (J & H > 3), requires larger telescope, > 0.25m

** Polaris: This is a very small amplitude (< 0.1 mag) D Cep variable. In order to measure this small variation, bright comparison stars have been chosen. When using SAO 38787 as the comparison star, use Capella as the check star. When using SAO 49941 as the comparison star, use SAO 34395 as the check star. These comparison/check star combinations are grouped in the sky to provide year round coverage. For reporting purposes, Polaris is alpha umi (0122+88) in the AAVSO database.

*** For Eps Aur, use Capella as a comparison star for telescopes less than 0.25 m diameter. For telescopes larger than 0.25 m diameter, use SAO 40233 as a comparison star. SAO 77168 is the check star in both instances.

4* The period of SW Vir as measured from the J band photometry appears to be closer to 200 days rather than the previously published 150 days.

Table 2notes:

  1. A linear relationship exists between J-H and J-K. This formula is based on the 52 J,H, and K standard stars in Henden's list. (J-H) = 0.8292 (J-K) + 0.0031, R^2 = 0.9943.
  2. Magnitudes are based on SAAO standard star magnitudes (Carter) that have been transformed to the UKIRT system via transformations found in Carpenter's paper. Assume and error of +/- 0.05 for both J and H magnitudes.
