Historical Light Curves

Historical light curves provide an interesting study of the long-term behavioral changes exhibited in some stars. The AAVSO is a unique resource for variable star research because it contains millions of variable star observations dating back to before the organization was founded in 1911.

This page presents long-term light curves of several stars in the AAVSO visual observing program. These curves should not be used for official research purposes, as they may not have passed the strict quality controls of the AAVSO. If you need official AAVSO data for any reason please fill out the online data request form or contact the AAVSO. We will be glad to help you out by providing the highest quality data available.

Just click on the image to see the complete historical light curve. Watch this page for more light curves to be added in the coming months.
