U GEM Imagery

This is a supplement to our Variable Star of the Month, February 1999.

These images of U GEM were taken by Charles Scovil and match closely the field as seen in our e scale standard AAVSO chart for U GEM. The left is prior to ourburst and the right is after outburst.

The photo(s) were taken with a 22-inch f/3.7 Maksutov, 10 minutes exposure, in 1974. Emulsion was 103ad glass plate through a GG14 (yellow) filter.
