Observing Sections' Zoom Webinar Series

We are very excited to welcome you to the new (and free!)

AAVSO Observing Sections' Zoom Webinar Series!

Starting June 27th, 2020, every Saturday (except for July 4th) from 18:00-20:00 UT, an AAVSO Observing Section will host a science webinar on Zoom focusing on different subjects within their Section, complete with guest speakers. This series is open to everyone: AAVSO members, observers, and those who are not familiar with AAVSO at all, free of charge. Whether you are a new observer exploring which type(s) of variables strike your fancy, or a seasoned observer looking to branch out, it is a great opportunity for us all to expand our knowledge, and deepen and grow our communities.

Our guest panelists and their specified topics are announced in the weeks leading up to each webinar: the current SCHEDULE

The interest in these webinars is greater than we ever anticipated. To enable all those interested to attend, we upgraded AAVSO's Zoom plan--an additional $100 cost for each month the webinars are taking place. AAVSO is a nonprofit with an aim to enable anyone to pursue their passions and expand their knowledge with no financial barrier or income discrimination. If you are able, we ask you to please consider giving a donation to the AAVSO for attending the webinar. Many thanks for any contributions, and for joining us for this exciting Series!

Registration is currently open for webinar Days 2, 3, and 4, and will close at 01:00 UT the evening before the respective webinars. Registration for the others will open on a rolling basis. For each webinar you wish to participate in, click on the respective hyperlinked title in the schedule below.
