Abstract

(Abstract only) I have developed a model for the visibility of sunspots based on physiological threshold results as modified by the telescope optics. Form this model, I can then evaluate the K-correction for individuals based on available data. This result can be used to improve K-corrections both for the AAVSO and for historical sunspot rates before the mid-1800s.
