Abstract

(Abstract only) The two-micron source IRC-20062 in Eridanus has been found, on the basis of narrow-band photometry in the near infrared, to be a Mira-type variable of spectral type M7-M9. However, its period and phasing are uncertain and could be improved by visual observations. There are indications that its visual maxima may be as bright as V = 10 or 11. Predicted dates of maximum are given based on the starĂs most likely period of 447 days.
