Unfortunately I did not pick up on this very deep (record breaking?) minimum of R Sct until it was well on the rise again and spectrum at ~1A resolution (LHIRES III with 1200 l/mm grating) shows absorption lines once more where there was most likely a miriad of chromospheric emission lines at minimum.

This star should be an interesting target at any resolution with its dramatic change from G to M spectral type
