1 Otero, Sebastian Alberto It is assumed that the southern neighbour of the star, called AU Sco in Himpel (1944) is actually NSV 20691 (GCVS team, Nov. 2019). Formerly identified as UCAC4 317-088373 (V= 16.2, possible small amplitude variability with P= 0.63368 d. in ASAS-SN data). But the newly identified object is a galaxy and the GCVS classifies it as IN: so identification remains uncertain. Magnitude depends on the aperture used (G= 18.8, Gaia DR2; r= 17.5, Pan-STARRS1; r= 16.3, CMC15).
2 GCVS Team VB B (A = AU Sco, B 0.4', 0deg).
