1 Otero, Sebastian Alberto Identification is uncertain. Duerbeck's candidate is identified as the variable but the original 1912 outburst position is 5.5" W and 3.5" S. The 13.5 outburst maximum was revised to 15 p. using a more recent sequence from The Astronomer (1997JBAA..107...65M). The star measured at V= 17.5 in 2000ApJS..128..387L looks like a reddened early type star. The candidate has a close 19th mag. companion (2MASS J02122929+5705201) 4" to the WNW and a 18.5 mag. redder companion (2MASS J02122864+5705177) 9" to the W.
