Second Annual AAVSO CCD School
Once again the AAVSO will be holding a week-long CCD School taught by AAVSO Director, Arne Henden! The school will run July 8-12, 2013 and all classes will take place at AAVSO HQ.
The CCD school is designed for those who have some experience with a CCD system, and who want to learn how to take professional-quality data. The classes will cover calibration of the equipment, observing guidelines, photometric and image processing techniques, transformation of data, statistics and basic data-mining concepts. Projects will be assigned using AAVSOnet data. Laptops are not needed for participation, but can be useful in following the classroom examples. Bring any questions and imaging problems that you might have - this is the perfect venue to get help!
Class size will be limited, so registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Last year's CCD School sold out, so register early to ensure a spot!
Registration: (Includes text book, M-F daily classes, daily breaks & lunches.)
- Registration Fee: $625
