VPhot Documentation

Hello,

Is there documentation describing the algorithms used for determining, for example, sky background, variable star error analysis, fractional pixel intensity determination etc? I understand that such documentation existed for the earlier incarnation, Photometrica.

Help with this would be much appreciated. I am not asking for a manual for how to use VPhot, rather documents that describe how it works.
