Access to AID in VStar is currently not working for the same reasons outlined by Sara in this SunEntry thread.

Discrepant reporting and Plug-in Manager access are also currently affected.

This will be addressed as soon as possible but it may be several days.

I will keep you posted.

AID access in VStar is back!

Hi all

Will told me a short time ago hat AID access is back! I've tested this in VStar and confirm that observations can be loaded from AID and information about stars obtained from VSX again.

Access to the Plug-in Manager and discrepant reporting are still disabled however. A release next week will restore these but BSM and APASS plug-ins won't initially be available until an alternative member identification mechanism can be put in place.

Thanks Will, Doc, Sara, Matthew for putting up with my email queries/input and getting things back up in an ordelrly and professional manner. I look forward to continuing to resolve the remaining issues referred to above.

Manual plug-in installation still possible (temporary)

I thought it was worth pointing out that even though the plug-in manager is unavailable until next week's release, you can still manually install plug-ins as described on the plug-in library page.

The same restrictions re: APASS/BSM mentioned above still apply even if they are installed, i.e. they won't work until an alternative authentication mechanism is put in place, and unfortunately that won't be in next week's release.
