Hello All,

I'm trying to export a polynomial model formula from Model Information dialog box to Excel or R but it can't be copied and pasted (selecting and right-clicking has no effect)

I'm using VStar 2.19.0 under Ubuntu Linix 17.10. Everything else works fine.

Hi Simon

Can you tell me what happens if you carry out the following sequence:

  • Left-click inside text area you want to copy
  • Ctrl-a to select all or use mouse to select text
  • Ctrl-c to copy
  • Ctrl-v to paste in a text editor or other application (e.g. R Studio)

Also, can you tell me whether you are able to copy from other dialogs, such as Observation Details, Info, period search results?

One option is to add a Save or Copy button.

Normal select and copy works on the Mac and I think Windows, but I'd appreciate input from others on the latter.

Yes, it works!

Right-clicking-->copy-->paste works only on graphics windows ( Light curve, DCDFT, WWZ)

Thanks

What the "select all" button (Edit menu) do? It seems to select nothing...not so important, anyway.

Thanks for help

Hi Simon

So, to be clear, the sequence I asked you to try worked okay?

Edit -> Select All is currently only used to select all observations in the Observation tab view. I have considered extending it to apply to other dialogs, along with a generalised Edit -> Copy item.
