VPHOT seems to have lost the sequence for V1404 Cyg. It used to be there but now is missing. When I tried to load it again, I got a message that comp stars exist, but not in this filter (V). Loading the chart and "show sequence" clearly show the presence of suitable comp stars.

Hm, not sure what you mean. I tried it just now at it seems to work just fine.
