One Page Guides to VPhot

I created a couple of one-page guides as part of a VPhot workshop at the 2012 SAS/AAVSO Spring Meeting. They are one page screen shots of the single image photometry tool and the single image photometry report. The screen shots are annotated to show the roles of various items on the screen. It's a quick way to get an idea of how VPhot works in general.

One Page Guides to VPHOT

The report screen shot raises the question.  Seems like the software could save us users a bit of time by automatically excluding the extreme color comp stars?

Automated features in VPHOT

While I agree, there are some things I would also like to see automated that would save a lot of time and manual clicking and checking, for me this is not one of them- or at least I want the option of doing it myself. Many times I actually use stars that would normally be considered "outliers" based on my assessment of the sequence and robustness of the photometry from different sources. For example, I will use any three Henden USNO or Sonoita magnitudes over any number of TASS magnitudes every single time.

Thanks, Aaron!

I absolutely hate video tutorials, and that seems to be all there is for VPHOT.  Give me a written guide any time!
