Background/Interesting Fact
B.A. Liberal Arts, Indiana University. Special interests in blazars, quasars, and Seyfert galaxies, as well as semi-regular variables and particular interest with Mira variables. Member, Indiana Astronomical Society since 1991. Began astronomy as a hobby at 11 yrs of age in 1969 with Apollo Moon landings which led to exploring the Moon with small scopes and thereafter exploring the Solar System and stars with Norton Star Atlas. Began observing variable stars in 1992 after reading David Levy's book (Observing Variable Stars). Joined AAVSO 1992. Veteran, U.S.N. All time favorite variable star: R CYG.
