I'm trying to get VSP to generate a chart for M11.  When I try to enter the coordinates, VSP won't accept Dec. coordinates in any of the formats described on VSP.  (I didn't try the decimal Dec. coordinates.)  It takes the RA coordinates without apparent problem.  Is anyone else having this problem?

BTW, does anyone know if the standard star squence is available yet for this cluster?

Hi Phil,

The sequence is there.  The coordinates enter just fine, but I notice that VSP gives a "too many stars" error.  If you use, say, 13.5 for the magnitude limit and maybe 20arcmin field, it plots fine.

Hi Phil:

Yes, M11 was added to the standard fields in VPhot back in November. I made a post about it then. Sorry you missed that. I also made a comment about needing to limit the mag range and FOV of interest to prevent the error Arne mentioned.

Ken, Arne,

I don't know what was happening with the Dec entry earlier, but it works now.

Wow!  That's a lot of standard stars.  (I was able to print a 20 min chart to mag 14.5.)  Thanks, Arne, for all the work you must have put in to this.
