How Does Server Determine Age of Uploaded Images?

I found some older images that I need to run through VPhot.  When I tried to upload them, they did not show up. The date in the FITS header is older than 4 months, and I know that VPhot does not keep images older than 4 months old. So does that also mean one cannot upload images older than 4 months old?

Thanks for your help.

VPHOT keeps track of the date the image was uploaded (stored in a database), so you can upload old images. They will stay on the server for 4 months after they are uploaded.

If they don't show up there are other problems. You might try to go to the Upload menu, then click View Processed Images and see if there are any error messages there that makes sense.

Hi Geir,

Thanks for the clarification. I just tried another upload of older images, but they do not show up. When I check View Processed Images, there is nothing showing up there either. And there is nothing in the upload facility that indicates that the upload did not complete or that there was an error with the upload (actually is says the upload was successful).

I'm using Chrome 24.0.1312.57 m
