PNV J17580848-3005376: possible nova (10 mag) in Sagittarius

Possible nova at 17 58 08.48 -30 05 37.6 (J2000.0), for details see

Complete ASAS-SN Sky Patrol (Shappee et al. 2014ApJ...788...48S and Kochanek et al. 2017PASP..129j4502K) light curve and data (the brightening on 2019 April 2.262 UT is very likely not real):

The (likely) eruption began between 2020 July 10 and 15.

Spectroscopy, multiband photometry, and precise astrometry are urgently required.

Is there a name in the AAVSO database to report? 

I observed a star in the position 17 58 08.48 -30 05 37.6 (J2000.0), with visual magnitude 10.6  in july 17 TU 03:25.

You can use either PNV J17580848-3005376 or N Sgr 2020 No. 3 for the name. There is no GCVS identification yet.

Hello all!

My observation (from Yuzhno-Morskoy, Nakhodka, Russia): July 17.5837, 2020. Mag. = 10.8 TG using Canon EOS 60D camera with 135-mm F/5.6 lens (stacked 10x10 sec., ISO-6400).

Finder chart E or fainter for

Finder chart E or fainter for Nova Sgr 2020 n 3

 

Hi!

I am trying to get a finder chart type E with fainter comparision stars for Nova Sgr 2020 n 3 but all appears  are 11a. magnitude stars... Do exist a better chart?

N Sgr 2020 No. 3 - More reddish?
