Recent ASAS-SN Sky Patrol (Shappee et al. 2014ApJ...788...48S and Kochanek et al. 2017PASP..129j4502K) light curve and data:
Spectroscopy as well as time-resolved and multiband photometry are urgently required.
Observations on a 30min interval seem about right - I've managed to get a couple of decent runs around some mixed weather but it will take a much more consistent observation approach around the globe to have a chance at getting a coherent curve.
Is there any more thought or research to suggest what is going with this star?
