Another bright nova has appeared, this time in Hercules. Per an email from Patrick Schmeer, Seiji Ueda detected the star at mag 8.4 on 2021 June 12.537 at mag. 8.4. Further reports indicate that it was still brightening, and is now approaching naked-eye visibility at mag 6.0. The object, TCP J18573095+1653396 (= ZTF19aasfsjq) has been submitted to VSX. Please submit visual and photometric measurements to the AAVSO international database using this name. A few visual or photometric observations per night are useful during the rise and initial fall from maximum.
