It is just about 3 weeks until the 108th AAVSO Annual Meeting in Las Cruces, NM. Our hotel requires that we give them our count for meeting room set up and catering no later than October 4th. Please submit and pay for your meeting registration on or before October 4th to insure that we have a seat ready for you, a sufficient number of power strips for everyone's laptops and tablets and enough coffee and snacks to keep everyone comfortable.

We are over 100 participants including guests, students and staff. We have received many abstracts and will have the agenda uploaded soon. Everything points to a great meeting again this year. Don't miss out! register today.

late registration

Hello, I know I am late for registering for the Oct. 11-13, 2019 annual AAVSO meeting, but I would lke to bring two undergradiate students to this meeting and have them present their AGN work at that meeting. Is it still possible to get registered? If so, how do we pay and can we just bring our posters with us when we/if attend. What info is needed that must be uploaded?

Thanks for any info and help you can pass along. Best,

Leslie (BFL) Brown

registering for the Annual Meeting

Hi Leslie,

Registration has technically closed, but you may still register - it would be great to have you and your students attend! However, the meeting dates are October 18-20, not 11-13. Does this still fit with your schedule? You may register via the meeting page ( - there is a link there to Registration. The family rate covers you and two students. Unfortunately, the reduced registration fee deadline has passed.

There are two poster slots available, so if you and your students decide to attend, we will give them to you.

Could you please let us know as soon as possible what you would like to do? Many thanks.  It would be most efficient for you to contact us directly (not via the forum); I have sent you email addresses.

We hope to see you and your students in Las Cruces!

Best wishes,
