Longtime AAVSO Member and past AAVSO Council Member, Doug Welch, has been awarded the prestigious McNeil Medal by the Royal Society of Canada. For more information see the announcement on McMaster University's web site.
We were lucky enough to have Doug as a speaker at the 2nd Citizen Sky Workshop in San Francisco just this past weekend. His talks, as usual, were very well received. Videos and .ppt files from his two presentations will be posted on the Citizen Sky web site in the coming weeks.
