VPHOT - Image Upload Appears to have Failed

Hi

I just uploaded 30 images in a time series. The upload seemed to go fine and all image disappeared from the upload screen. But now, nearly an hour later, none of the images appears in my Image List. VPHOT indicates that there is not work in the Que so I's puzzled where my images went and whether I should be using the AIJ Macro for uploading and analyzing rather than VPHOT.

Suggestions and Advice would be helpful.

Thank you and Happy Holidays..

Questions?

Gary:

Upload tool worked a few minutes ago. You have uploaded images before. Is there anything different about how these images were collected or processed (what software used?) or named (name format) than before?

You are certainly welcome to use AIJ (with macro) and see if you find that the process is more user-friendly/efficient than VPhot usually is? IMHO, the answer is no.

Send an image to me to check if desired. (kenmenstar@gmail.com)

Images not uploading ?

Hi Ken and thanks for your note.

There were 32 images at 45mb and they all seemed to upload fine after dragging them over. Nothing happened after that for an hour and VPHOT said nothing was in the Q so I thought I was stymied.

We just finished dinner so I’m about to check it again. I hope it uploaded by now. I really like VPHOT so finger crossed.

Large Images

Gary:

These images are quite large. Are they your normal images? Have they been processed differently than your previous images or have they always been the same?

I doubt just trying to upload once more will make a difference but that does work sometimes! If you didn't immediately see them in the queue after upload, they must have never got there. You could try just a few images (not all 32) at one time and see what happens.

Images Not uploading

Hi Ken

The images are from an ASI294 MM Pro camera. The raw image since is about 22 MB but once calibrated and plate-solved they basically double in size - I know not why and wish it were not so.
