VPhot used to have have a VS search feature. It would look through a series of images for stars that varied from image-to-image. The featlure was deactivated and hidden from view because it imposed about 20-30 seconds of processing for every file uploaded. This was considered an unreasonable load on the system.
If there is strong interest in this feature we can discuss how to make it available again.

I'm absolute profan, but, maybe limitations on files size and quantity will help to optimise system load?
