Book your hotel rooms today as they are limited in number this year. The weekend of the AAVSO Annual Meeting falls on a huge football game weekend at Vanderbilt. They have a loyal following of alumni so hotel rooms in the area will be booked up far in advance.
If you did not book early as suggested above please go to the web links we have provided on the accommodations page for hotel search engines to find a room that meets your price and quality standards.
Since the meeting is being held in Nashville this year not all the AAVSO staff will be able to attend. We are looking for volunteers to help with a few tasks:
- Registration Desk – the registration desk needs to be attended at all times – take a short shift to give a staff member a break.
- Raffle Ticket sales – help us maximize our ticket sales during breaks by selling tickets at the raffle table display or front desk
- Group Pictures – a volunteer is needed to organise the group for the traditional photo and another volunteer is needed to take the photo!
- Trivia Contest Team – volunteers are needed to assemble the Trivia Contest questions and host the game at the Banquet on Saturday night
