I am a past president of the Southern Vermont Astronomy group, member of the Salem (NY) Astronomy group as well as a member of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. I am a retired research chemist (USDA) and in my retirement I have continued my research interests in both field biology and astronomy. I also volunteer at the local library and I am a board of trustees member. In my spare time I putter in my gardens or I am on the trail hiking. I am fortunately to be married to a wonderful woman who really doesn't understand me and uses scientist as a curse word.
