Benefit from reporting Observations without ToM?
Is it worth reporting just Time series on EBs without determining ToM?

Is it worth reporting just Time series on EBs without determining ToM?
Hi
Thanks to the incredible effort of Robert Jenkins (AAVSO and Variable Stars South), Bob Nelson's database of Eclipsing Binary O-C files has been updated and posted to https://www.aavso.org/bob-nelsons-o-c-files . This data release includes over 5800 revised Excel files. The plan is to update these O-C data around twice annually with the next revision scheduled for January, 2024. Thanks again to Robert Jenkins and all the folks at AAVSO for continuing Dr. Nelson's legacy.
I need help learning to use Phoebe. The version I have is 0.31a running on a Windows 7 Pro system. Any suggestions?

I am looking for potential EB targets to perform some photometry on for a summer research project for my university. I will be using the Paul P. Feder Observatory in Moorhead, Minnesota. The requirement for the target would be to have a magnitude greater than 17 and will a period of 1 day or less. The project will be focused around performing curve analysis similar to that performed in the paper "Light Curve Analysis of Eclipsing Binary Stars LX Leo, V345 UMa, and MU Leo" published in JAAVSO volume 50. Any suggestions are appreciated? If any other info will help please let me know.

There are spaces available in the excellent AAVSO CHOICE course "Variable Star Classification and Light Curves". This course, taught by Blake Crosby,
begins Monday, June 5, and runs through July 2. Register before June 4.
Hi
Is it possible, using just a star's RA and Dec, to search somewhere in AAVSO to determine whether the star at that location (or very near) has any kind of variable star classification?

AAVSO Alert Notice 819 announces a campaign beginning immediately on the eclipsing variables XX Oph and V5569 Sgr. Please see the notice for details and observing instructions.

Greetings one and all. I'm new to this forum but there is a reason for that as I have come with a request. I'm working with Deborah Shapley, the granddaughter of Harlow Shapley, on the website, "The Harlow Shapley Project" (https://harlowshapley.org). Ms. Shapley has asked for my help in explaining the importance of eclipsing binary stars to a lay audience, with reference to research conducted by HS in the early part of the 20th century.
Bob Nelson’s O-C data base is a unique resource to all eclipsing star observers. For many years, Bob collected the observations and updated the workbooks on his own. In the last several years I joined him in this work. I have just completed the 2023 workbook updates and they are now available on the South West Research Institute website (http://binaries.boulder.swri.edu/omc/), and soon will be on the AAVSO site too.
Dear observers, I have a question about EA with period 1.07d. It is Linear 154606 placed near EZ Lyn. I have got from MPO excellent serial images 60x180 sec. Target has been EZ, but there is possibility to measure Linear too. During 3 h exposure Linear kept almost stable brightness about 16.4v, so my attempt to catch minima was unsuccessful. Could you please explain, is there a sence to report all 60 points? Or better to show one average value? Or even do not send report in this case?
