August 6, 2018 : Further to AAVSO Alert Notice 640, the SU UMa-type dwarf nova VW Hyi is in outburst and is the subject of a multiwavelength campaign designed to detect possible radio emission during the outburst.
December 1, 2017: Dr. Deanne Coppejans (Northwestern University) and colleagues have requested AAVSO assistance in monitoring the cataclysmic variable TT Ari in support of observations scheduled to be made with the Very Large Array (VLA) in December 2017.

REQUEST TO MONITOR 2138+43 SS CYGNI FOR MULTIWAVELENGTH OBSERVATIONS
Nova Delphini 2013 (also named V339 Del) is the biggest cosmic event in variable star astronomy this year, and this naked-eye nova is providing the community a wealth of new data on this important class of objects. The amateur astronomical community has made an enormous contribution of data for Nova Del so far, and now is a good time to review all that's happened so far in this nova outburst, and how the amateur community has played a role.
June 20, 2013: Dr. Andrea Dupree (Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics) has requested AAVSO monitoring of the symbiotic variable AG Draconis from now through at least September 2013 for correlation with upcoming Chandra x-ray and HST ultraviolet observations.
September 11, 2012: As announced in AAVSO Alert Notice 454 (http://www.aavso.org/aavso-alert-notice-454) and updated in AAVSO Special Notices #267 and #268 (http://www.aavso.org/aavso-special-notice-267 and -268), Dr. Margarita Karovska (Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics) is carrying out a multiwavelength campaign on the symbiotic variable CH Cyg this year. The satellite observations have taken place, and Dr.

November 2, 2011: The observing campaign described in AAVSO Alert Notice 443 (M. Templeton) has been extended through the end of November 2011. One of the original targets, NGC 6814, has been removed from the target list for the remainder of the campaign.
