T Tau star

Alert Notice 741: Southern T Tau Stars campaign in support of HST and TESS observations

Note:  HST will be observing Sz 76 again on August 8  from 11:27:38 through 18:56:12 UT. Please add this target to your observing queue if practical. Dr. Walter remarks that there will be no TESS data, so frequent (at least nightly) BVRI observations will be helpful for setting the context for the HST spectra.  -  Elizabeth O. Waagen, August 2, 2021

The HST observations of NSV 20468 (Sz 130) and SSTc2d J160000.6-422158 have been scheduled as follows:

Alert Notice 725: Campaign on Northern T Tau Stars

Note: V510 Tau, one of the stars in this campaign, will be re-observed by HST on 2021 February 12-13 UT. Please continue your observations (highest priority are V and B, then Rc and U), obtaining a few observations each night from now through February 15.  -  Elizabeth O. Waagen, 1 February 2021

CONTINUED THROUGH 2017

April 15, 2015: Dr. Fabienne A. Bastien (Hubble Postdoctoral Fellow, Pennsylvania State University) has requested AAVSO assistance in monitoring the rare FU Ori object 2MASS J06593158-0405277 as part of a campaign to observe this T Tauri star from the optical to the infrared in the coming weeks.

Alert Notice 514: RW Aur monitoring requested

Note: A thread for this campaign has been created in the AAVSO Campaigns and Observation Reports discussion forum:  https://www.aavso.org/rw-aur-monitoring

This campaign has been extended at least through 2022. Please continue to monitor RW Aur until further notice.  -  Elizabeth O. Waagen, 17 April 2020

Campaign extended through 2018.  Also, campaign updated in  Special Notice #402 (20150413).
